About Darin
Darin Swall has worked as an insurance and retirement income specialist for the last 20 years. His relationship with O’Connell Investment and Insurance Services started in 2014 as a consultant, helping structure retirement solutions for clients looking for principle protection, and an income stream they could not outlive. He was drawn to the firm’s independence, and team-based approach to wealth management, and in the fall of 2020, he joined as a permanent part of that team. He believes that independence is an essential criteria when making a promise to work in a client’s best interest.
Prior to his financial career, Darin graduated from culinary school with a Le Cordon Bleu diploma, and worked at some of the best restaurants in Portland, OR. His attention to detail, and patience with the process have translated perfectly into finding the right ingredients to create a sound financial plan.
Darin grew up in Boise, Idaho where he now lives with his wife, Lea. They love the outdoors, and travel extensively throughout Pacific Northwest, enjoying the limitless beauty and adventure the region offers. When he’s not in the office, Darin spends much of his time skiing, hiking, mountain biking, and gardening.
