An Intro to ESG Investing

We have experience designing portfolios for individuals that prefer investing in companies that have declared one or more of the following initiatives:

Environmental – think about companies that make products and services that are responding to the consumer’s desire for sustainability in the market.

Social – include companies that have committed to higher diversity and inclusion.

Governance – these companies commit to diverse boards with transparency as well as having shareholder friendly policies.

The market responds to what means the most to people. These funds have had steady interest in them over the last several years. Now, however, their growth is exploding as they become more and more popular among investors who want to have more of a say when it comes to where they invest their money.

Considering the election results for 2020, we would also suspect to see a huge influx of ‘Green Bonds’ and other ‘green’ investments come out of legislation sometime in 2021. Huge sums will be thrown at this initiative to upgrade failing infrastructure as well as stimulate the economy with higher paying jobs.
